Harlow Hills, 61, 2708 Buckingham Drive, Rockford, killed Sunday,
Feb. 14, 1965, in a headon auto collision near Naples, Fla. Born
Sept. 30, 1903, in Rockford, son of Francis A. and Winifred
Heller Hills. Lived seven years in Rockford, coming here from
Oregon. Married to the former Gladys Gatz in Iowa May 26, 1928.
Employed as a farmer in the Lighthouse area near Oregon before
moving to Rockford, where he worked for the U.S. Department of
Agriculture. Member of Lighthouse Methodist Church, rural Oregon.
Survivors include: two sons, Paul, of Rockford, and Elwyn, Franklin
Grove; a daughter, Mrs. John (Dorothy Blanchard, Knoxville, Tenn.;
nine grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Hills, Rockford, and
Mrs. T.R. (Frances) Liggett, Glen Ellyn, Ill.
Services
at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, in Lighthouse
Methodist Church with the Rev. Lyle Miller, pastor, officiating.
Burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements by FARRELL FUNERAL
HOME, Oregon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p.m.
to 9 p.m. Thursday.
